This course is designed to introduce students to the fundamentals of music production. Through hands- on experience and theoretical knowledge, students will learn to create, edit, and mix their own music using industry-standard digital audio workstations (DAWs).
Music Theory: Understanding basic music theory concepts such as rhythm, melody, harmony, and musical notation.
Audio Engineering: Learning about sound recording techniques, microphone placement, and signal flow.
Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs): Gaining proficiency in using DAW software to record, edit, and mix audio.
Sound Design: Exploring the art of creating and manipulating sounds, including synthesizers, samplers, and effects.
Music Composition: Developing skills in composing original music, from simple melodies to complex arrangements.
Music Business: Understanding the music industry, copyright law, and the business side of music production.
Students will have the opportunity to collaborate with other students, experiment with different genres, and develop their own unique musical style. The course is designed to foster creativity, problem-solving skills, and a deep appreciation for the art of music production.
